World Wide Arts Resources is an extensive international listing of virtually everything having to do with art: museums, art publications, performance arts, antiques, commercial arts resources and galleries, and art institutions. There is a searchable artist index with over 2000 artists listed. Links to art galleries and exhibitions are categorized by painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, computer generated, installation, drawing and other media.

Yahoo! Arts is an up-to-date and efficient guide to online art-related sites. Yahoo! contains organized information on tens of thousands of computers linked to the Web.

ArtsUSA is an on-line information dissemination service by the American Council for the Arts (ACA). ArtsUSA brings to the Internet community a wealth of articles, news and primary documents related to American arts and culture. Arts Advocacy: How to expand support for the arts. ACA UpDate: The latest arts policy news out of Washington DC. Arts Education: Information on Education reform and the GOALS 2000. WebMuseumfeatures a huge, fabulous collection of famous paintins and illuminating essays on the artists that created them. Also, special exhibits: Medieval art, Paul Cexanne, Art of the 20th century.

ArtServe offers access to around 16,000 images of art & architecture mainly from the Mediterranean Basin.




Candy Stick Gallery is located in Ferndale, CA. For the past 30 years the most prominent artists in Humboldt County and Northern California have shown their work at the Gallery. Many of the artists whose work is described here are represented in public, private and museum collections. The art presented in this collection include both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work. Paintings, sculpture, pottery, jewelry and furniture are described. The artists backgrounds, significant accomplishments, and selected examples of their work including prices and digital photos are presented.

FolkArt & Craft Exchange is dedicated to art made by folk artists and craft persons from the Americas with emphasis on hand-made objects created by indigenous and native people.

The CraftWEB Project is a semi-commercial site. Paying "members" get Web pages and have their work displayed in the online gallery for a month. The artists pages and the gallery may be viewed for free. Members also receive an online newsletter and may participate in online chat events. A worthwhile resource page is available to all.

Artist's Secretions is a short but interesting list of museums, galleries, art organizations and resources, as well as individual artists' pages.

The Art DEADLINES List is a list of competitions, contests, call for entries/papers, grants, scholarships, fellowships, jobs, internships, etc, in the arts or related areas (painting, drawing, animation, poetry, writing, music, multimedia, reporting/journalism, cartooning, dance, photography, video, film, sculpture, etc), some of which have prizes worth thousands of dollars. It is international in scope. Contests and competitions for students, K-12 and college aged, are included. Some events/items take place on the Internet. You are invited to submit items. The list is mailed around the first of each month: 200+ items are sent to PAID subscribers; a FREE web version contains 55 items.
